After completing a miniature series of the prestigious Big 5 of Africa (elephant, rhino, cape buffalo, leopard, and lion,) my husband Jim thought I should do another miniature series. He came up with "Africa's UGLY 5." Together we tired to think of which African creatures should receive this dubious distinction. The "winners" were: Nile crocodile, Spotted Hyena, Cape Vulture, Warthog, and Maribou stork.
