While in Yellowstone in late May, I saw numerous herds of bison with calves. One particular herd was framed by the still snow covered hills in the background. The sun was trying to peak through and the calves' orange coats stood out against the dark coats of the adults and the cool toned background. The brightly colored spring grass added the final touch to the scene.
