Night scenes hold a special attraction for me. I use a completely different color palette from my "daytime" paintings. The unusual blues and greens which "read" darkness can be challenging to mix, but the result is often striking. This is the first time I have tried wolves at night. Adding action and pending action to their movements is just what the painting needed to complete the night effect.
